Landour, Mussorie

Landour, Mussorie.
Hills always gives you a fresh breath of air, but this one was as crisp as it can get. A small little town just ahead of the over populated Mussorie, Landour is the quite holiday one would always love to get back to…had heard about the place so many time and finally we made it there….

A comfortable 8 hours drive from delhi, takes you this little town just on the other side of Mussorie. Narrow winding lanes will ensure that you are moving against the crowd and you would love this fee ling.
Dev Dar Woods (http://devdar.blogspot.com/) was the perfect place to get you in the mood of this sleepy hill station. An old British cottage now converted into a hotel, classic architecture with high ceilings, huge windows and a magnificent view of the valley…you would fall in love as you enter the main gate only…
Owned by Mr Prakash, the places offer amazing views, good service and decent food. Its also famous for the Pizzas it makes with their own bread…which is a real treat. The road ahead of the hotel takes you to the Sister’s Bazaar, small market with hand-full of shops, one of the oldest is owned by MrPrakash himself. Move around the lanes to explore beautiful cottages, mostly owned by retired army officers, and of-course the breath-taking view of the valley…and as you move about don’t forget to spend some time at ‘char dukan’. It's actual a junction with just four shops which will offer you the most amazing ginger lemon tea and maggi….and next to this is a magnificent church...
Sounds like a place from a hindi movie, isn’t it….well it is….relax, un-wind and de-stress…that’s all you can do here….
